Future/Current Events

A Special trimester on the main themes of the Lab will take place at ICMAT, Madrid during 1 April – 30 June 2023. This will consist of the following three workshops (including minicourses):

  • Workshop 1: The Hitchin system, Langlands duality and mirror symmetry, ICMAT (Madrid), 24-29 April 2023
    Organizers: Steve Bradlow, Óscar García-Prada and Tomás Gómez
  • Workshop 2: Higgs bundles, character varieties and higher Teichmüller spaces, ICMAT (Madrid), 22-26 May 2023
    Organizers: Javier Aramayona, Steve Bradlow, Oscar Garcia-Prada and Anna Wienhard (this is a joint workshop with the Agol ICMAT Lab)
  • Workshop 3: Gauge theory, moduli spaces and geometric structures, ICMAT (Madrid), 19-23 June 2023
    Organizers: Luis Alvarez-Consul, Mario Garcia-Fernandez, Oscar Garcia-Prada and Xenia de la Ossa

In addition to the workshops, there will be extended visits by the Chairs of the Lab, Nigel Hitchin and Ngô Bao Châu, other members of the Lab and invited researchers, including young researches (postdocs and PhD students).
