Resumen:
Asymptotically rigid mapping class groups have attracted considerable interest within geometric group theory for several reasons: their connections to Higman–Thompson and Houghton groups, their exotic finiteness properties, and their position as finitely presented subgroups of big mapping class groups that naturally contain the mapping class group of every compact subsurface.
