The geometry of trickle groups

Resumen:
In this talk, we will introduce the concept of prismatic presentations, a family of presentations designed to have disc diagrams with nice combinatorics. Examples of groups admitting prismatic presentations include trickle groups (a family of groups containing right-angled Artin groups, right-angled Coxeter groups, cactus groups, and more), twisted right-angled Artin groups and graph products. We provide tools to work with diagrams over prismatic presentations and use them to obtain our main result: a diagrammatic characterisation of geodesic words. Time permitting, we will also discuss some applications of this result. For example, under some mild assumptions, groups with prismatic presentations satisfy the falsification by fellow traveller property. This is a joint work with Lucia Asencio Martín.
