The dimension of cube complexes and their hyperplanes

Resumen:
We will explain how the cohomological dimension of a cubulated group relates to that of its hyperplane stabilisers. In particular, we will deduce that a cubulated group G with cd(G)< \infty contains a subgroup H with cd(H) =cd(G)-k for each 0 \leq k \leq cd(G). Based on joint work with Henry Wilton.
