Fourier restriction to submanifolds of intermediate dimensions

Resumen:
Restriction of the fourier transform to hypersurfaces in \(R^n\) is a topic that has been intensely studied in recent decades, and to a lesser extent the fourier transform restricted to curves in \(R^n\). The case of restriction to submanifolds of dimension 2 ≤ d ≤ n − 2 however remains very open and somewhat mysterious. In this talk, we will take a step towards understanding this problem by focusing on specifically the case of codimension-2 submanifolds in \(R^5\), presenting some progress made as part of joint work with Ana Vargas.
