Finite-time singularity via pendula for the forced 2D incompressible Boussinesq equation

Resumen:
In this talk, we will present the new mechanism described in our recent article (Advances in Mathematics, Volume 480, Part A, 2025, 110480) that leads to the formation of finite-time singularities in the 2D Boussinesq equation. In the first hour of the talk, we will state the main result and describe the main features of our solution. In the second hour of the talk, after a small break, we shall briefly introduce some of the main ideas behind the construction.
