PhD Course - Quantum Computing and Quantum Information
Ponente: Aram Harrow (MIT)Fecha: miércoles 08 de abril de 2026 - viernes 10 de abril de 2026 - 11:00-13:00Lugar: Aula Naranja & Aula Gris 1, ICMAT
Resumen:
This is a PhD level course on the theory of quantum computing and quantum information. We will introduce some of the mathematical objects used in quantum information, such as tpcp maps and distance measures. Then we will introduce quantum error correction, quantum information theory, quantum algorithms, quantum complexity theory and some applications to many-body physics. We assume that the audience has had some exposure to some of the basic concepts, such as qubits, unitary operators and quantum algorithms such as Grover and Shor.
Dates: 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 16 April, 2026
