About:
I was born in 1997 in Cáceres, Spain. I have been interested in mathematics since I was a child because of its power to describe complicated structures and thoughts in a beautiful and rigorous way. For this reason I studied mathematics as an undergraduate at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 2015 to 2019, learning about the representation theory of compact groups under supervision of Davide Barbieri for my bachelor’s thesis.
I obtained my master’s degree in mathematics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2020. My master’s thesis, which was supervised by Mario García Fernández, was titled ‘The Severa-Roytenbeg correspondence’ and dealt with the relations between the theory of graded manifolds and the study of Courant algebroids from the point of view of generalized Riemannian geometry.
I am currently pursuing my PhD studies under supervision of Luis Álvarez Cónsul and Mario García Fernández, supported by a FPI Severo Ochoa grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science. I am interested in different aspects of higher and generalized geometry, with a special emphasis on the theory of higher Lie groups and its relation to M-theory and string theory. The main results of my thesis provide mathematical tools for constructing moduli spaces parameterizing supersymmetric solutions of heterotic string theory, and for describing the phenomenon of U-Duality.
