Nuria Torrado is an Associate Professor at UAM and an ICMAT-affiliated Researcher. Her research interests include probability models, statistical learning, and their applications in reliability theory and risk theory. She has several publications in international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, Reliability Engineering and System Safety, and Quality Technology & Quantitative Management. Since September 2018, she has served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Probability and Advances in Applied Probability. Currently, she is the PI of the national research project TED2021-129813A-I00. Member of the OEA working group of the Spanish Society of Statistics and O.R. (SEIO).
