About:
I am a Ramón y Cajal Fellow in the Department of Mathematics of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). I am also an Affiliated Researcher at Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT) and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science of the University of Essex. My research is on algebraic and complex geometry, with focus on birational geometry of varieties of Fano type, moduli spaces and computational algebraic geometry. Before UAM I was a Senior Lecturer in Pure Mathematics at the University of Essex. Before that, I held postdoctoral positions at the University of Bath (UK), the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn (Germany) and the Johns Hopkins University. I did my PhD at the University of Edinburgh. I am interested in supervising PhD students and postdocs in algebraic geometry. Have a look at my website for some details and write me an e-mail early if you are interested in any such opportunity.
