About:
Enrique García Sánchez is a PhD student at ICMAT and Universidad Complutense de Madrid with a FPI Severo Ochoa contract, under the supervision of Pedro Tradacete. His PhD thesis is devoted to the study of free objects in the category of Banach lattices, and more specifically, the free Banach lattice generated by a Banach space and related constructions. He is also interested in other topics related to Banach spaces and lattices, such as stable phase retrieval, convexity and concavity, lattice homomorphism and positive operators, or interpolation theory.
He studied a double degree in Mathematics and Physics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he later pursued a Master’s degree in Advanced Mathematics. He has been involved in the organization of some conferences, such as the V BYMAT Conference, the research term Lattice Structures in Analysis and Applications and the XXV Encuentro Nacional de Estudiantes de Matemáticas. On the other hand, he has participated with contributed talks on international conferences such as Positivity XI or the COSA Conference 2023, and has performed research visits at University of Alberta and Universidad de Murcia.
