About:

I am Assistant Professor (Profesor Ayudante Doctor) at Universidad Complutense de Madrid since 2021. Previously, I have been Profesor Ayudante Doctor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Severo Ochoa postdoc at ICMAT and Ayudante at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. I completed my PhD at Universidad Complutense de Madrid under the supervision of Marina Logares and Vicente Muñoz.

My research lies in the interface between complex geometry, algebraic geometry and theoretical physics. I am especially focused on Topological Quantum Field Theories, Geometric Invariant Theory, representation theory and Hodge theory. As a byproduct, I am interested in moduli spaces, mainly moduli spaces and stacks of Higgs bundles, and their relation with character varieties, gauge theory and theoretical physics. Moreover, I am interested in algebraic topology, especially in higher category theory, functor calculus and type theory.

In addition, my research also includes theoretical aspects of machine learning. Particularly, I am interested in collaborative filtering based recommender systems as well as in the problem of convergence of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and their application to real problems. I also study the application of statistical techniques to improve reliability in qualitative research. Finally, I am very interested in the transference of geometric techniques to dimensional reduction problems and manifold learning.
