Ana Bravo is Profesora Titular (Associate Professor) at the Department of Mathematics of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and a member of the research institute ICMAT.
She obtained her PhD. at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1998. After that, she held a postdoctoral position at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for two years, and was a postdoctoral Fellow the MSRI for five months. In 2002 she was selected to be a recipient of a Ramón y Cajal research contract.
Her research interests lay in the interplay between Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry, with special focus on the area of Resolution of Singularities. Recently she has been extending her research into the theory of arc spaces. A list of publications can be consulted here.
Ana Bravo is chair of the Gender Commission at ICMAT.
