ICMAT has a lactation and wellness room—shared with the Institute for Theoretical Physics (IFT)—for all staff and visitors to attend to their babies’ feeding and hygiene needs, as well as for extracting and storing breast milk during the workday.
Location: The room is located on the basement level (-1) of the IFT (room S6) and is accessible from the common areas on levels 0 and -1.
Equipment: Designed to provide comfort and privacy, the room is equipped with the following furnishings:
- Table and changing station
- Refrigerator with freezer, exclusively for storing breast milk
- Cabinet/drawer unit with sink and mirror
- Sofa and chairs
- Cupboard
