Special structures on complex manifolds

Abstract:
We present recent results on the existence of special geometric structures oncompact non-Kähler manifolds M arising as quotients of solvable Lie groups, with particular emphasis on their cohomological properties. In particular, we investigate several classes of special structures on M, including symplectic structures satisfying the Hard Lefschetz Condition, Hermitian geometrically formal metrics, p-Kähler structures, and aspects of special Lagrangian geometry. Explicit examples illustrating these phenome a are discussed in detail. The results presented are based on joint work with E. Lo Giudice, F. Lusetti, T. Sferruzza, L. Sillari, and N. Cesarino.
