Geometry Seminar

Twistors and Langlands duality

Abstract:

This talk is based on a new theory of BBB-branes within the geometric Langlands program. Our approach is based on applications of twistor theoretic ideas, applied to derived analytic moduli stacks that parametrise Higgs bundles, local systems and lambda-connections. We discuss relations to the influential work of Kapustin and Witten, who introduced BBB-branes as a special type of boundary condition within 4D supersymmetric gauge theories. We sketch candidates for the Langlands/S-dual theory of BAA-branes, understood in our context as a type of twistor D-module on the stack Bun_G of G-bundles.
