Singularities of maps

Resumen:

 I will introduce the theory of singularities of maps (Thom-Mather theory) and show several topics people study nowadays, including some of my recent results. Time permitting, I will show other areas of Singularity Theory and their connection with the theory of map singularities.
I will avoid technical details (which in many cases are algebraic), so topologists may find this interesting as well.
