Resumen:

We will show examples of population models in which two species live in different regions of the same habitat separated by a permeable membrane. The two populations will only interact across this membrane, which acts as a geographical barrier, where we impose the so-called Kedem-Katch boundary conditions. We analyze the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions as a function of the parameters involved in the system.

Joint work with Pablo Álvarez-Caudevilla (UC3M), Mónica Molina-Becerra (US) and Antonio Suárez (US).
