Welcome
AI and Mathematics Days at ICMAT is a three-day event dedicated to the practical use of artificial intelligence tools to support research in pure mathematics. The main goal is to offer the mathematical community a concrete, critical, and technically informed overview of how current AI tools can be integrated into everyday research work: exploring ideas, searching for and organizing arguments, mathematical writing, programming assistance, informal verification of calculations, example generation, and support in the preparation of scientific texts.
The event is designed for a broad audience of mathematics researchers. Its orientation will be eminently practical, but pitched at a level appropriate for professional mathematicians. Rather than focusing on general aspects of AI or on technological outreach, the workshop will directly address the uses, possibilities, and limitations that arise in real mathematical research.
The scientific structure will consist of three courses, each taught by an invited speaker. Each course will comprise three sessions of 1.5 hours, amounting to a total of 4.5 hours per speaker and 13.5 teaching hours overall. Registration will be mandatory and free of charge.
