Advanced School on Operator algebras, quantum information and quantum many body systems

The connections between operator algebra theory and quantum information theory have been numerous and extremely fruitful in both directions. The goal of this Advanced School is to present two of the recent most striking and influential such connections, one in each direction.

In the lectures by Yoshiko Ogata, she will present her operator algebra based approach to understand and classify exotic phases of matter.

In the lectures by Henry Yuen, he will present the resolution of the Connes Embedding Problem using quantum information tools via his MIP*=RE result.
