Welcome to the web page of the "Research Term on Real Harmonic Analysis and Its Applications to Partial Differential Equations and Geometric Measure Theory".

Harmonic Analysis has been and continues to be an active field of research for both purely mathematical interest and applications to difficult problems in other mathematical fields. The focus of this term will be studying the interface of Harmonic Analysis with Partial Differential Equations and Geometric Measure Theory. The goal is to gather several experts in these fields as well as talented younger mathematicians to discuss important recent developments and foster future collaborations.

The research term will have three primary components. We will organize a School with topics in the interface of Harmonic Analysis with PDE and GMT. From May 21 to 25 there will be 3 courses delivered by Steve Hofmann, Xavier Tolsa, and Tatiana Toro. These short courses will have some introductory lecture containing the general background of the topic and will conclude with the last developments and challenges in the corresponding areas. These lectures are intended primarily for young graduate and post-graduate students or for mathematicians in other areas who want to become acquainted with the field.

From May 28 to June 1, we will hold the workshop "Workshop on Real Harmonic Analysis and its Applications to Partial Differential Equations and Geometric Measure Theory: on the occasion of the 60th birthday of Steve Hofmann" where less than 20 speakers will present lectures on their own research topics. We will have short talk (20 minute) sessions as needed to allow more participants to present their work, especially those at the beginning of their careers.

For the rest of the time, more than 50 researchers have agreed to participate in the trimester and some of them will deliver specialized lectures on their topics.

We hope that you will find in these pages all the information that you need as a potential participant, and we look forward to seeing you in Madrid.
