Introductory course "Generalized geometry from scratch" - ICMAT Lab Nigel Hitchin

This course intends to provide an introduction to generalized geometry. It will cover: basics on Courant algebroids, reduction, generalized complex geometry, spinors, generalized Riemannian geometry, ...

We will also discuss recent applications of this theory to supergravity.

Research Trimester on the Geometry and Physics of Moduli Spaces

This programme is devoted to the theory of moduli spaces and their relationship to mathematical physics. The programme will include a school, a workshop, as well as a regular seminar. This trimester will tie in with the Nigel Hitchin Laboratory. The activities at the ICMAT will be continued in the programme on the Geometry, Topology and Physics of Moduli Spaces of Higgs Bundles (7 Jul - 29 Aug 2014) at the Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Singapore.
