Staff secondments

The moduli project is centered around the exchanges of staff from European to Indian partners and vice-versa. The secondments will enable individual researchers to benefit from the strong overlap of interests and complementary expertise of the project partners.

Secondment How-To

Before requesting a secondment contact the scientist in charge in your home institution and check the planned secondment schedule (changes should be justified).

Once the secondment has been approved by the scientist in charge, please gather the following information to be sent to the project coordinator :

All documents and information should be scanned and sent by e-mail to the project coordinator with the following format (Click on the dots to reveal e-mail address):

subject: MODULI Secondment (name of researcher) from (home institution) to (host institution).

Researchers coming from Indian to European partner institutions will be paid by their European host.

Researchers going from European to Indian partner institutions will be paid by their European home institution.

In order to receive the amounts due, additional requirements may apply depending on the rules and procedures of the European institution making the payment. Contact the institution for administrative details.

In all cases the institution paying the researcher will have to register the secondment in the Commission reporting tool SESAM, filling the corresponding researcher registration report within 10 days of the beginning of the exchange.

Secondment Practicalities

European Partners

Indian researchers coming to Europe will have to apply for a visa for entry, short term if the stay is less than 3 months, long term otherwise. Contact the nearest consulate in India of the EU Country of entry for guidance, administrative contacts in the institution hosting you may be able to help with the procedures (see contact section).

Centre for Quantum Geometry of Moduli Spaces

The centre is located at the Department of Mathematics in the campus of Aarhus University in the centre of Aarhus
