Biographical Review

Omar Lazar was born in Paris in 1985. He completed his degree in mathematics in october 2009 at the University Paris-Est and his Phd in mathematics in february 2013 at the same University under the supervision of Marco Cannone and Pierre-Gilles Lemarié-Rieusset. During his thesis, he was interested in the study of the regularity of infinite energy solutions to the dissipative Surface-Quasi Geostrophic equation.

Now, he is working as a Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at the ICMAT under the supervision of Diego Córdoba. His research is centered around the study of the Muskat problem as well as some 1D nonlocal transport equations coming from fluid mechanic problems.
