The concentration period Gauge Equations, Geometry and Strings (GEGS) will focus on mathematical aspects of string theory, as well as new developments in the areas of Higgs bundles, mirror symmetry, Langlands duality, gauge theory, Donaldson-Thomas theory, special holonomy and generalised geometry.
The GEGS is organized as part of the activities of the Donaldson-Hitchin Laboratory at the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas, Madrid (Spain), and is partially funded by the Severo Ochoa Excellence Programme and the CSIC i-Link Programme 2016.
The activity will take place at the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas.
It will start on Monday 17th of April 2017 and will end on Friday 28th of April 2017.
