Research in Groups

Dates: 16 October – 19 November, 2017

One of the central activities of this trimester in the “Research in Groups” activity, where a number of international experts will work with members of the Orthonet network on a range of research topics, among which:

  • Orthogonality on the unit circle and CMV theory
  • Matrix orthogonal polynomials
  • Multiple orthogonal polynomials and Padé approximation
  • Orthogonality and approximation in several variables
  • Integrable systems in Mathematical physics
  • Stochastic processes, random matrices and universality
  • Special functions in Quantum Mechanics
  • Bispectrality and exceptional polynomials
  • Computational aspects of special functions
  • Applications in numerical analysis

Participants will be given shared office space in ICMAT and access to all facilities to collaborate on their research program. The list of programmed seminars will be available here
