In the CSIC Action Plan, the staff training takes a prominent place in order to contribute to generate human resources in the Spanish and European Science and Technology system. For this purpose, the CSIC developes the JAE Intro Programme which provides two-month scholarships for degree students.
These scholarships want youth students to encourage to initiate a research activity thank to joining research groups belonging to CSIC centres and institutes. The applicants are degree students who fulfill several requirements related to the number of passed ECTS. The scholarships last two months (to choose from June 1st to September 30th) and include a variable endowment depending on the place of residence, and a help for displacement in case the scholar holder has to change his/her residence in order to incorporate into the institue.
The ICMAT organize every July the JAE School of Mathematics, as the main part of the JAE INTRO programme. This activity helps to give JAE-Intro scholar holders to know research areas of Mathematics in the ICMAT.
